## Overview  

The University of Victoria (UVic) is a research-intensive institution known for its advancements in materials science, technology, and open source innovation. **CAMTEC (Centre for Advanced Materials and Related Technology)** leads UVic’s open science efforts, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration in material sciences. While UVic actively participates in open source research and collaboration, it does not currently have a formal Open Source Program Office (OSPO).
